1970s Beaded Handmade Necklace
This piece is a special handmade beaded orange necklace from the estate of Polly Lou Livingston. Polly Lou was a South Texas socialite, artist and art supporter, and performed voiceover work as Tree Trunk on Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time. She was known for her keen fashion sense and handmade pieces of jewelry her artists friends made for her.
The necklace here was made for her in the 70s. It is definitely a statement piece and just the right shade of orange - not too brash. The necklace is meant to drape over the neck without need for a clasp. It’s a one-of-a-kind work of art with 13 rows of orange beads that hand separately from one another. Just beautiful.
Condition: In good condition with small visible threads on the back neck that were previously sewn in for bead reinforcement. There are no missing beads.
